Why Do We Have Twins Day at TAIE?

Starting at a new school can be exciting — but it can also be challenging. For students who have just arrived in Canada, making new friends isn’t always easy. New surroundings, new routines, and even a different language or culture can make the first few days feel a little overwhelming.

That’s why we came up with Twins Day at TAIE — a fun, simple way for students to reach out and connect with one another. The idea is easy: ask a classmate, “Want to match outfits tomorrow?” It’s a small question, but it can be a brave first step that opens the door to a new friendship.

Twins Day is more than just matching clothes. It’s about pairing up, sharing a laugh, and discovering what you have in common. Standing side by side, students often find that they’re not so different after all. Little moments like these help break the ice and create a sense of belonging.
