Across Canada, and in many other countries, people gather on November 11th to honour the courage and devotion of brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice of dying for their country. On November 11, 1918 at 11 a.m. – the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – World War I, the Great War, ended. Since then, we mark this occasion by giving thanks to those who have served in Canada’s military and fought for this country so that we might enjoy freedom today. On this special day, we remember them.
Thank you to our TAIE Leadership Team for coming together to make a special Remembrance Day Ceremony over the PA system, followed by 2 minutes of silence at 11:00am. We encourage all TAIE students to wear a red poppy today.
They were young, as we are young, They served, giving freely of themselves. To them, we pledge, amid the winds of time, To carry their torch and never forget. We will remember them
