Why is the whole school wearing pink today?

Our campus is looking a little extra bright today! It’s Pink Shirt Day, and the energy on campus is just incredible. While we all love a good color theme, there’s a much bigger heart behind all this pink.

This whole movement actually started right here in Canada back in 2007. Two students saw a peer being bullied just for wearing a pink shirt, and they decided to take a stand. They bought 50 pink shirts and handed them out, turning a moment of unkindness into a massive wave of solidarity.

Today, we’re keeping that vibe alive at TAIE. For us, wearing pink isn’t just about the outfit—it’s a vivid way of showing that we’ve got each other's backs. In a community as diverse as ours, where everyone is chasing their own dreams, individual growth and mutual respect are what keep us connected.

At the end of the day, we want TAIE to be more than just a school; we want it to be a safe, inclusive, and fabulous place for everyone to be themselves. Let’s keep this kindness going all semester long!
